高校教职工协会是在校工会领导下的群众团体。协会的建立旨在丰富教职工业余生活、提升教职工身心健康水准、加强教职工间的人际交流等。高校工会、教职工协会、协会会员是三位一体、相辅相成的关系。高校教职工相较于其他群体，普遍文化层次较高，属于知识密集型群体，他们面临教学、科研、人际关系、身心健康等多方面压力，对于教职工协会建设有着现实需求和较高的期待。在倡导全民阅读的今天，建设好教职工读书协会将会为高校的其他工作带来裨益。本文以北京联合大学教职工读书协会为例，分析协会的建设背景、发展现状及存在问题，提出改进高校教职工读书协会工作的具体建议，以其为其他高校提供借鉴，推动高校教职工读书协会的健康发展。

University faculty associations are mass organizations under the leadership of the university trade union. The establishment of such associations aims to enrich faculty's spare-time life, improve their physical and mental health, and strengthen interpersonal communication among faculty members. University trade unions, faculty associations, and association members form a trinity and complementary relationship. Compared with other groups, university faculty generally have a high cultural level and belong to a knowledge-intensive group. They face various pressures such as teaching, scientific research, interpersonal relationships, and physical and mental health, and thus have practical needs and high expectations for the construction of faculty associations. In today's era of advocating nationwide reading, building a high-quality faculty reading association will bring benefits to other work of the university. Taking the Faculty Reading Association of Beijing Union University as an example, this paper analyzes the construction background, development status and existing problems of the association, and puts forward specific suggestions for improving the work of university faculty reading associations, so as to provide reference for other universities and promote the healthy development of university faculty reading associations.
