“X潮”词族在社会生活中很常见，例如“国潮”、“下岗潮”等一系列指称社会现象与面貌的族词。笔者将网络上大量涌现的“X潮”词族进行具体分析，从“潮”的本义出发进行研究。认为 “潮”字语义有虚化倾向，它的构词能产性强，具有语法标志的作用且位置固定，呈现出类词缀的语法特点，因而可判定为类词缀。本文将从词汇意义的弱化、社会语言学的影响、语法位置的固定和构词能力的增强等方面，分析“潮”在构词过程中的表现与成因。
