基孔子精神的实质是“大同精神”，这种大同精神是狭义的大同精神与“日新”精神的结合。“大同精神”体现在孔子思想、儒家思想的各个方面。儒家的思想也具有一定的现实精神，具备现实精神的思想才能够被接受、传播和发展。但大同精神也应具有一定的空想性和弊端而没有实现大同社会。大同思想中蕴含的一些平等、民本等精神在现代社会的仍然有着重要的价值。我们应该充分挖掘儒家大同思想中蕴含的优秀价值资源，为构建人类命运共同体做出更大的贡献。
