汤显祖一生创作了许多优秀的作品，这些戏剧作品为世界各国读者所喜欢，而且已传播到英、日、德、俄等很多国家，被视为世界戏剧艺术的瑰宝。《临川四梦》中女性形象较为光辉伟大，并且汤通过女性形象身上的品质来表达一些想法和追求。但是笔者认为男性形象也很重要，却有很少人研究，因此选择《临川四梦中的男性形象为切入点。通过对临川四梦原本的阅读，搜集大量的相关资料，全面的正确的掌握需要研究的问题，然后运用文本层次分析的理论，对文学语言层和文学意蕴层进行研究，探究的临川四梦作品中的文学意蕴、历史意蕴和哲学意蕴，再通过对典型环境中的典型人物的分析，如复杂多面的文人书生，腐朽刻板的官吏，昏庸无能的帝王等的男性人物的分析，更近一步探索汤显祖创作作品的人生理想。从柳梦梅身上体现的的汲汲于功名到淳于棼身上体现的怀才不遇以及家国抱负，看到了汤显祖一生哲学思想与政治理想的变化与融合。看到了汤显祖对作品在男性人物形象中寄予的多种情感，看到了汤显祖在宦海沉浮的政治生涯中不灭的"乌托邦"理想,以及对人生的诸多思考。通过本论文浅显的研究也让笔者更深刻的理解了汤显祖的文学作品的意蕴。

However, the female images in Tang Xianzu's works of Linchuan and Four Dreams are more brilliant and great, and some of Tang's creative ideas are expressed through women. However, the male images are also very important, but few people have studied them. Therefore, the male images in the Four Dreams of Linchuan are chosen as the starting point. Four dreams of linchuan reading originally, collecting a large number of relevant data to fully grasp the correct study first, and then on the basis of the theory of text hierarchical analysis, through the study of literary language and literature implication layer exploration of the literary connotation of linchuan four dream work as well as the historical and philosophical significance, and through the analysis of typical characters in typical environment, Such as the complex and multi-facet literati, corrupt and rigid officials, fatuous and incompetent emperors, through some typical characters to further explore the life ideal of Tang Xianzu's works. At the same time, we can see the change and integration of Tang Xianzu's philosophy and political ideal in his whole life, from the first Confucianism to the pursuit of the three unity of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, from Liu Mengmei's dedication to fame to the lack of talent and national ambition embodied in the whole body. Tang Xianzu's multi-facet interpretation of male characters reflects Tang Xianzu's respect for women and democratic consciousness from the male hero's attitude towards women. From the official career experience of the male master worker in the play, we can see Tang Xianzu's eternal "Utopia" ideal in the ups and downs of his political career, as well as his many thoughts on life. Through the superficial research in this paper, I also have a deeper understanding of the meaning of Tang Xianzu's literary works.
