It exists widely in various fields of Japanese traditional art society and has a profound impact on the development of Japanese society. As one of the traditional art that was established in Japan during the Edo period, Rakugo is not Iemoto system. There should be a big difference between Rakugo and Iemoto system. This paper compares and analyzes the similarities and differences between Rakugo and Iemoto system from four aspects: Master-slave relationship between Master and apprentice, Chained Hierarchical relationship, Highest authority of Iemoto, Simulated Family system. Finally, it is concluded that ①The Rakugo has similar attributes to the Iemoto system, but it does not have the closedness and exclusivity of the Iemoto organization; ②In the historical development of the Rakugo, there has never been a business entity with economic functions similar to the Iemoto organization, which is the fundamental reason for its separation from the Iemoto system in the arts society.
