在快速建造的今天，对于建筑地域性的研究仍然具有重要的意义。建筑师伍斯特是旧金山湾区第二阶段建筑师们的公认领袖，他的作品既在形式和技术上与现代主义保持一致，又承认了地域的影响，历史先例和本土来源。伍斯特在今天并不是很为人所熟知，尤其国内对他的研究可以说一片空白，透过研究他可以一窥湾区建筑这一独特的美国地域形式，为建筑地域性研究添砖加瓦。

In today's rapid construction, the research on the regionality of architecture is still of great significance. Architect Wurster is the recognized leader of the second bay tradition architects. His works are consistent with modernism in form and technology, while acknowledging regional influences, historical precedents and local sources. Wurster is not very well-known today, especially the domestic research on him can be said to be blank. Through his research, we can get a glimpse of the unique American regional form of architecture in the Bay Area and contribute to the regional research of architecture.
