摘要/Abstract

传授共同知识，传递特定价值观，培训参与公民社会生活的基本技能，培养有学识、有见识的公民，这些是美国大学通识教育兴起、发展与改革的基本动因与目标。20世纪90年代以来，通过整合课程内容，开设跨学科课程，构建学习共同体等举措，通识教育以文化认同实现价值认同，成为多元化社会中美国大学价值观教育的重要且有效的方式。

Impart cultural consensus and common values, training some basic skills which is necessary for participating in a democratic society life and cultivate knowledgeable citizens, all of them are the principal motive and aim of general education rising, developing and reforming in American colleges and universities. Offering interdisciplinary programs and constructing learning communities are the major initiatives of general education reform since the 1990s. General education has been proved to be an important and effective way for value identification by cultural identity in a diversified society.
