When we explain the Zen books, we must first grasp the essence of its semantics, before an accurate interpretation of the language. The Zen has two teaching contents, one is the answer to 'what is Buddha', two is 'how to become a Buddha' problem. How to become a Buddha?Zen masters have each a lot of answers. They thought, can be summed up as ' do not be fooled by the things and not be tempted '. This is the basic idea of jingangjing(金刚经). If we understand this point, so many of the statements in WuDeng HuiYuan(五灯会元)is easy to explain.
