The emergence, existence and development of things in the world depends on their ecological environment which is the sum total of various conditions in the living space of organism. Since translation is a basic activity of human being, its emergence, existence and development also depends on human ecological environment. So is Translation Studies which depends on its areal ecosphere. Human ecological environment is a compound system consisting of natural, social and normative environments. Ecology maintains that the global ecosphere and areal ecosphere are interdependent, and it is the colorful areal ecospheres that constitute the united pluralistic global ecosphere. Therefore, only Translation Studies takes root in its soil can it keep its characteristics and make contribution to the united pluralistic General Translation Studies.
