Under the guidance of the "Four New Initiatives" (New Engineering, New Agriculture, New Medicine, and New Liberal Arts), agricultural higher education is undergoing a profound paradigm shift. This paper focuses on the "Smart Agriculture" course and addresses core challenges such as fragmented course content, traditional teaching models, and superficial integration of industry and education. It systematically constructs a new student-centered teaching model aimed at enhancing the quality of talent cultivation and prioritizing student development. The research proposes a "Three-Stage, Four-Dimension, Five-Integration" course framework, which systematically cultivates students' technological integration capabilities, data thinking skills, innovative problem-solving abilities, and cultural awareness through three stages: foundational cognition, in-depth exploration, and comprehensive innovation. Additionally, an "AI+HI" (Artificial Intelligence and Human Intelligence) blended smart teaching model is designed, utilizing virtual simulation and big data analysis to digitize and intelligently transform the teaching process, thereby promoting personalized learning and precise evaluation. This study emphasizes the organic integration of cutting-edge technology, real-world industry projects, and China’s outstanding agricultural heritage. It explores practical pathways based on deep industry-education integration, aiming to provide insights for cultivating innovative talent in smart agriculture who are knowledgeable about agriculture, passionate about rural development, and future-oriented, as well as to contribute to the development of first-class courses under the New Agriculture initiative.
