Against the backdrop of the Internet and globalization, mixed Chinese-English code has become the mainstream online communication method for Generation Z. Existing research faces issues such as confusion between online and offline corpora, one-sided value analysis, and insufficient dialectical exploration. This paper employs literature review, corpus analysis, and dialectical methods to define the concept of mixed Chinese-English code online, categorise five forms of mixing, and summarise its linguistic features from the perspectives of vocabulary, syntax, pragmatics, and media symbols. The study finds that this phenomenon embodies multiple cultural values: it promotes bilateral cultural integration between China and the West, constructs a youth subcultural identity system, enriches Chinese vocabulary and expression forms, and alleviates netizens' emotions while reconciling online conflicts. At the same time, the academic community holds two opposing views: "language pollution" and natural language development, with drawbacks including stylistic confusion, weakening of Chinese character connotations, normative issues in adolescents' written language, and communication barriers among different groups. In response, this paper proposes differentiated regulatory approaches from the perspectives of language management, platform control, tiered education, and public awareness. The study indicates that mixed Chinese-English code online is an inevitable product of language development, requiring a dialectical perspective, scenario-specific inclusive guidance, and a balance between the inheritance of Chinese culture and the innovative vitality of online language.
