女性主义是20世纪文学作品中常见的要素。美国男性作家海明威所写的《雨中的猫》讲述了一位美国太太欲图救一只雨中小猫却无功而返的故事；新西兰女性作家曼斯菲尔德的《莳萝泡菜》讲述的则是女主人公薇拉六年后与前男友重逢却不欢而散的故事。这两部作品均立足于“女性主义”这一大主题，以独特的写作手法真实地呈现出了20世纪早期男权社会中女性的生存处境以及女性主义的觉醒和成长的曲折。本文将在比较文学的主题学视域下，从作者、人物身份、写作手法等角度入手，对“女性主义”这一大主题进行解读、对比与分析，从而进一步感知与思考20世纪早期女性主义的多元表现和发展趋势，以期为今后以女性主义为主题的文学作品提供一定的参考。

Feminism is a popular element in 20th century literature. Cat in the Rain, written by American male writer Ernest Hemingway, tells the story of an American wife who tries to save a cat in the rain but fails. A Dill Pickle by Mansfield, a female writer from New Zealand, tells the story of heroine Vera, who reunites with her ex-boyfriend six years later but finally parts on bad terms. Both of these two works are based on the theme of "feminism", and with unique writing techniques, they truly present the living conditions of women in the patriarchal society in the early 20th century, as well as the twists and turns of feminist awakening and growth. From the perspective of thematology of comparative literature, this thesis will comprehend, compare and analyze the theme of "feminism" from the perspectives of author, characters and writing technique, so as to further perceive and ponder over the diversified expression and development trend of feminism in the early 20th century, and hopefully provide certain references for future literary works with feminism as the theme.
