By restoring the real performance of " Small-Twon Swot " in real life, this paper finds that "small town students" do have the characteristics of low self-esteem, poor comprehensive ability and lack of vision resources described on social networks, but they also have positive characteristics such as strong self-adjustment ability, strong autonomy, independence and tenacity. Facing the transformation from middle school to university and from small town to city, they finished the self-adjustment from inferiority to acceptance step by step with the early accumulated cultural capital of bottom class. In the face of the adverse reality of the lack of pre-existing capital, they give full play to their subjective initiative and accumulate cultural capital by actively participating in community activities and social practice; on the other hand , they accumulate social capital by building social relations with surrounding students and teachers, and finally they realize the great leap forward development of their own ability. Combined with the research conclusions, this paper puts forward the following suggestions to promote the better development of this group from the dimensions of individual, family and school: at the individual level, we should face up to the gap, making effective use of college education resources to make reasonable life planning; at the family level, we should adopt appropriate rearing methods to create a good family atmosphere; at the school level, we should improve the management system and improve the student assistance system.
