进奏院案中关于苏舜钦“监主自盗”的判决结果在法理上是成立的。将此案视作保守派官员对新政派年轻官员的政治迫害并不妥当。此案涉及的人物关系也不能以保守派和新政派来简单概括，弹劾一方并非全部反对新政。宋仁宗对“朋党”的态度才是此案重判的关键。进奏院案成为冤案是不断被政治化解读的结果。不管是苏舜钦生前的处罚，还是史书后来对进奏院案的定性，“朋党”都是绕不开的关键词。

In the case of Jinzou Yuan, the verdict about Su Shunqin's 'supervisor stealing himself' is tenable in legal theory. It is not appropriate to regard this case as a political persecution of young officials of the new political faction by conservative officials. The relationship between the figures involved in this case can not be simply summarized by conservatives and new deal faction. The impeachment party is not all against the new deal. Song Renzong's attitude towards 'friends' is the key to the retrial of this case. It is the result of political interpretation that the case of Jin Zou yuan becomes an unjust case. Whether it is Su Shunqin's punishment before his death or the later determination of the case of Jin Zou yuan in history books, 'friend party' is a key word that cannot be bypassed.
