Both 'Chance' and 'Spontaneity' are important conception in Aristotle's natural philosophy. In the second volume of Physics, Aristotle introduced chance and spontaneity on the basis of his discussion of 'natural causes' and made a detailed analysis of them. Aristotle affirmed the existence of chance and spontaneity, at the same time, he included chance and spontaneity into his unique thought of natural teleology to perfect and supplement his theory of natural teleology.
