The years of Kaiyuan and Tianbao were the high-yield period of Gao Shi's poetry creation, and also the peak period of his artistic achievements. In particular, the three sets of poems--'Ten Songs in Song Zhong', 'Five Songs in Jimen', and 'Thirteen Songs from Qi to the Yellow River' represented different emotional cognition at different stages of his early life. From the beginning, he stayed in the grief and indignation of personal gains and losses, and he personally experienced the majesty of the frontier fortress soon, and then he wandered at Qi where he deeply perceived the life of the bottom people. These changes in thoughts and emotions are all reflected in his poets. As a result he laid the realistic care and tragic style of poetry in his poetry creation.
