朱熹对佛教“空”的误解及其原因 作者:刘飞

摘要/Abstract
朱熹认为佛教的“空”是空无实理,一齐归于无。但其实,佛教的“空”是指否定自性,肯定缘起,是空有不二,从宗教修持的角度看,此“空”超越了世间的空有,而强名曰空。朱熹对佛教“空”的误解的原因,一是佛教在唐中后期佛教义学传统衰落;二是朱熹在理解佛教时,带有较强的儒学本位之成见;三是朱熹对佛教经论缺少研究。为了免遭误解,佛教自身应建立完整义学,倡导菩萨行,佛教修行者也应广泛阅读经论,形成正见。
Zhu Xi believes that the 'emptiness' of Buddhism is nothing.But in fact, the 'emptiness' of Buddhism refers to the denial of self, and certainly the origin.From the perspective of religious practice, this 'emptiness' transcends the existence and absence of the world.What caused Zhu Xi to misunderstand the 'emptiness' of Buddhism?There are several reasons。First, the Buddhist tradition of doctrine began to decline in the middle and late Tang Dynasty.Second, when Zhu Xi understood Buddhism, he had a strong prejudice base on Confucianism.Third, Zhu Xi lacked research on Buddhism.In order to avoid misunderstanding, Buddhism itself should establish a complete scholasticism and advocate the Bodhisattva. Buddhists should also read the classics and form a right opinion.
