The 'independence theory' of Guo Xiang is regarded as the highest peak of the development of the metaphysics in the Wei and Jin Dynasties, and the reading of its 'independence theory' is popular in the academic circles to explore its origin from the development path of the metaphysics in the Wei and Jin Dynasties. But why is the idea of 'the theory of independence' embodied in the 'Chuang-tzu note' rather than in other works, or why Guo Xiang chose 'Chuang-tzu' alone as the basis for his own thought? Starting from the text of Chuang-tzu, the article tries to explain the origin of Guo Xiang's 'independence theory'.
