在职教师胜任力的提升与其继续教育现状密不可分。为了提高广大中学英语教师的胜任力，国家教育部、各省教育厅等每年都会举办国家级、省级等不同层次的培训。从基本情况、专业水平、培训现状、培训需求等四个方面对参与国培的中学英语教师进行调查与分析，结果发现:参与国培的并非都是专职英语教师；教师最需要提升的专业知识是听说能力，难以自身发展的是科研能力、语言运用能力和教学设计能力；而现有培训理论居多、实践偏少，参与式讨论的培训模式很少。教师最希望的培训者是优秀的一线教师，其次是专家。大部分教师都希望有一段相对较长而稳定的

The improvement of in-service teachers' competence and the current situation of continuing education are inseparable. In order to improve the competence of middle school English teachers, the ministry of education and the provincial education department hold national, provincial and other different levels of training each year. Most of the teachers wants to have a relatively long and stable period to improve their professional competence. Aiming at these problems above, the following suggestions are put forward: middle schools should use all sorts of different levels of training efficiently; Training unit should formulate local training programs in order to improve the training effectiveness; the school-based development model of teachers' competency should be perfected and the promotion strategies are made clear.
