With the trend economic globalization, industrialization, information technology in the world and the needs of domestic economic development pattern, building an innovative country, social demand for advanced applied engineering talent is increasingly growing. On the basis of engineering master’s cultivation practice of Waseda University, Keio University and Ritsumeikan University, this paper expounds their training features for similarities and differences from three aspects of admission requirements, curriculum, degree requirements, analyzes the causes of the rapid development of engineering master in Japan, on this basis, to extract features and experience of master engineering training mode, providing significant implication for the current practice of engineering master’s implement in China.
