摘要/Abstract

作为美国当代族裔文学经典之作,小说《芒果街上的小屋》为作家桑德拉·希斯内罗丝赢得国际声誉。小说从小女孩的视角书写芒果街的移民生活,尤其是社区中少数族裔女性在夹缝中的生存状态,呈现美国社会少数族裔社区的困境。凭着写作天赋,作家成功走出移民社区的压抑空间,但是她对移民社区的精神复归与书写饱含伦理关怀与责任意识。通过移民社区生活经历的书写,她试图诊断族裔社区的症结,探讨移民社区空间的潜能与空间重构的可能性。这一书写策略为实现移民社区少数族裔女性的空间诉求提供参考方案,也将启示美国其他少数族裔文学的创作。

As a piece of classic in contemporary American ethnic literature, the novel A House on the Mango Street has brought the writer Sandra Cisneros international fame. Approaching the life of immigrants, the novel reveals the dilemma of minority communities in American society from the perspective of a little girl. With her writing talent the author has succeeded in making departure from the depressive space of the immigrant community, but her spiritual return to the migrant community and her writing of it has been charged with her ethical concern and sense of responsibility. Through the writing of her experience in the immigrant community, she tries to diagnose the symptom of the ethnic community and explores the spatial potential of immigrant community and the possibilities for spatial reconstruction.This writing st rategy offers reference for materializing the minority women’s aspiration for accommodating space, and will also inspire literary creation of other ethnic groups in America.
