Zhang Qiao is a famous poet lived in Tang Dynasty. The main poetic features of his poetry are as follow: being Varied in style; Keeping the traditional style; Elegant, pure expression; Mainly writing “modern style”poetry, Especially good at classical poem with four five-character lines and classical poem with four eight-character lines. In general, Zhang Qiao’s poems change from stoicism to utilitarianism, from outside to inside, from only Confucianism to Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism etc, and correspondingly his poetry style changes to be the style of “modern style”poetry. Although these changes leaves readers the impression of weakness in poetic momentum and power, but this does not mean that poetry itself is weak; conversely these changes mean that Tang poetry get into a new stage of development. This development is a kind of new situation and a innovation of aesthetics for Tang poetry.
