The orgnizational system units of the Du Du Fu Level in the south area of the Wu-ling mountain range during the Tang Dynasty possessed a typicalness of high-level administrative orgnization and administrative divisions in the localities. Tang Dynasty established administrative organs and divided their districts in the southern borderland after having united the south area of the Wu-ling mountain range in the Wu De 4th Year. The so-called “the 5 Fu in the South Area of the Wu-ling” was a popular-name on the 4 Du Du Fus and 1 Du Hu Fu in the south continental area of the Wu-ling mountain range, but the so-called “the 5 Guan in the South Area of the Wu-ling” was an assemble-name on 5 districts of the 4 Du Du Fus and the 1 Du Hu Fu in the south area of the Wu-ling mountain range. In the same period, the Yazhou Du Du Fu was founded in the Hainan Island also. In the Wu De years, appeared 11 Du Du Fus (at first named the Zong Guan Fu), administrating 87 prefectures in the south area of the Wu-ling mountain range. The organizational system of “the 5 Fus in the South Area of the Wu-ling” were formed after the Rongzhou Du Du Fu was established in the Tian Shou years. During the Xian Tian 1st year to the Tian Bao 15th year, there remained the 6 Du Du Fus, with the 73 dependent-prefectures. During the latter half of the period of Tang Dynasty, the 5 Fang Zhens were established on the basis of “the 5 Fus in the South Area of the Wu-ling”, and the name of “the 5 Guans in the South Area of the Wu-ling” was still used.
