中国美学理论的核心范畴“性情”、“灵性”和“情性”对译者的审美认知模式具有重要的借鉴意义，译者对待中国文化史和道家思想的认知和接受，可通过异化策略在译文中留下深刻的印记。宇文所安深受中国诗学的影响，在译诗中显示了忠实于中国美学意蕴的诗性认知能力和开放的审美胸怀。

“Xing Qing”(disposition), “Lin Xing”(spiritualism) and “Qing Xing”(affection) are the three core categories of classical Chinese aesthetics, which can be borrowed into the research on translator’s aesthetic cognitive model. A translator will leave the tracks of cognizing and receiving Chinese cultural history and Taoist thoughts by the application of foreignization in the translated versions. Deeply influenced by Chinese poetics, Stephen Owen reveals his poetic cognitive capability in the loyalty to Chinese aesthetic thoughts and his open aesthetic mind.
