翻译与翻译伦理：《兄弟》英译文案例研究

摘要/Abstract

余华的代表作《兄弟》演绎了人物因个人欲望而背叛家庭亲情的故事，蕴含了跨越中西文化语境的伦理共情，由此成为该部作品翻译及翻译伦理评价的焦点。本文以罗鹏、周成荫的英译文为例，基于翻译即再叙事的观点，参照切斯特曼的翻译伦理评价标准，从再现伦理、服务伦理、交际伦理和规范伦理四个方面，比较分析原文与译文，探讨翻译策略的选择与原文的伦理叙事再现的内在关联，说明翻译伦理是汉语作品英译评价的基本内容。

Yu Hua's masterpiece Brothers has conveyed universal ethical connotation in the context of intercultural communication by virtue of the narration of one of the brothers’ evil sensual desire for his sister-in-law who is the wife of his brother, from which an argumentation on the highlighted moral issue has been originated into some criteria for translation study and evaluation of translation from the perspective of ethics. This study argued that ethical connotation as criteria for assessing the translation can be accounted for the comparative study of Chinese original and its English equivalent in order to fully explore how different translation ethics had been observed by the translator in a case study of Brothers and the English translation of it with the theoretical framework of ethics of representation, service, communication and norm proposed by Chesterman.
